Is Pinterest hurting your culture?
I can’t help but laugh when I see one of these funny pictures on Pinterest or Imgur.com. However, at some point, my attention turns to “what are my employees thinking?” Every management guru will say that if you have a good corporate culture, these spoofs should not matter. I agree in principle but disagree in reality. At a minimum these Dilbert version 2 pictures get people complaining or remind them of the little annoyances at work.
What do you think? Do you believe that joking about poor morale is not a big deal, that it lightens the mood? Do you allow your employees to have posters or photos like these on their desk or on the wall?
